Update Taco, November 7th, 2018 : Taco is staying in foster care for some time now and we can say that he has progressed considerably. Thanks to the tireless efforts of the foster family and their dog Loeki, has Taco become considerably less scared. He also shows that he can stay alone at home in the company of Loeki for a while. During the walk, is his tail is no longer between his legs, instead is he cheerfully wagging his tail. He has even been off leash! Just look at the new movie where you can see him running around bravely. Taco continues to respond somewhat anxiously towards small children. We are looking for patient owners for Taco, who can offer him a calm and stable home and where he needs to live together with a different dog to pull himself up to. Update Taco, May 9th, 2018 : This beautiful, young dog has been living in the Netherlands for a month and a half. He thinks everything is still very exciting, but in the foster family are they practicing a lot with him to get him used to the daily rhythm : walking on the leash, getting housebroken and being alone at home for a while. Taco (now called Benji) has a lot of support from Loekie, the Jack Russell of the foster family. He doesn’t like cats at all and he thinks little children are a bit scary. It seems wise to place him in a family with children aged 12 or older. Owners who understand the trajectory that Benji still has a long way to go to get less scared, who have all the time and the patience for this and who already are having one or more dogs, are cordially invited to get acquainted with Benji. Original text : October 2017, from Fabiennes diary : “Familia perruna of the campo, ... “ Totem, Tico, Tete, Tayu, Talia, Taco, 6 little ones of one and the same mum, lived on the site of a sheep breeder ... The many dogs lived there without a name, without anyone interested in them, in terrible conditions ... horrible to see ... Grandmother, mother, daughter and always their many litters survived or died in this place where little or no people would ever set foot in ... These innocent dogs had to stand firm here, year after year ... Some of them defended the terrain with their lives, attached to a gigantic heavy chain ... Mothers lay with their offspring in rusted barrels, raising their puppies, incredible but true… Except for the mum were we able to take them along with us, the rest of the uncontrolled collection of dogs is now in safety ... The mommy can’t be caught, she is terrified, every time we come is she blending in with the huge group of sheep and then are we unfortunately unable to do anything ...
