Update Cafelito, December 15th, 2019 : Cafelito, already baptized Mees as a puppy, is still looking for a nice new home. He was adopted as a few months old puppy in the Netherlands, but unfortunately does he needs to be relocated due to changed family circumstances. Since last fall, has Mees been living in a foster family in Amsterdam. He had become quite heavy due to lack of excercise, but the foster family is walking a lot with him, so a few pounds have already disappeared. Mees is a great boy, nicely housebroken and he can also be home alone for a while. He can sometimes react too enthusiastically if he is allowed to walk along, barking loudly, he expresses his joy when he can come along. Mees has a tendency to growl when he gets reprimanded or when you are frolicking with him for a while, but this is never out of aggression, but is behaviour that he has evolved through time. He has never behaved maliciously nor bitten. Yet we do consider it better to not to place him with young children. No problem from the age of 12. Mees hates cats. He usually doesnt react to other dogs, although he just doesnt like some dogs. Before he went into fostercare did he live together with another dog for many years, so a dog buddy is nice, but Mees can also be a great dog alone. Who wants to give this good boy, who is already middle-aged, but who still has many active years ahead, that nice home? Who is going to take wonderful walks with this sturdy boy? Update Cafelito, April 15th, 2019 : Dear new owners, wherever you may be, I would love to come and live with you. Together with my roommate Isidoor 4093 (now Caspar), I was adopted as a puppy in a family. We still live with our boss, who now lives alone, but he is away for work a lot and we are left home alone. Of course do we have baskets to sleep in, and our dishes are filled with food. But we really want more. We would love a new owner who is more often at home, who wants to have wonderful times with us and pat us and play ball with us. Unfortunately, I have become a bit too fat, but I really want to do my best to get back in shape. Caspar and I want to come and live with you together, but if we are apart from each other, we don’t mind. Come and have look at us, we are really sorry that we have not been seen for such a long time. Are we not beautiful enough? Not young enough? We are really sweet dogs and we want to do our best to become your companions! Update Cafelito, January 4th, 2019 : Cafelito (now Mees) is still waiting for a nice new home. Where is that warm basket, with owners who want to take him out? Mees, together with Isidoor (now Caspar), is still staying with the current adoptor. Unfortunately are these two dogs stay home alone for a very long time during the day, something that neither of them likes. And this situation will not change in the coming years. Both Mees and Caspar are no longer the youngest, but surely an age of 7 cannot be called old? Both dogs are healthy and would love to take long walks and then doze off beside the boss’s feet. Who grants Mees a number of good years? Mees and Caspar can be adopted together, but can also go to a new home separately Update Cafelito, August 5th, 2018 : 6.5 years ago, Cafelito, now called Mees, was adopted. He was then very small, barely 3 months old. Due to changed family circumstances, are the adopters asking us to help find new owners for Mees, because unfortunately has he been alone at home for a long time, together with his ACE friend Caspar (Isidoor 4093), who is again available for adoption. A situation that is particularly unpleasant for both dogs. Mees and Caspar can of course be adopted together, but separately is certainly also possible. Mees is a sturdy boy, he looks a bit like a brown Labrador. He is tough and sometimes dominant, especially towards other males. He loves swimming and can go wild in the forest. Whether he can handle cats is unknown. Mees doesn’t love riding in the car. For small children he is a bit too robust, for teenagers is he no problem at all. If you are looking for a sturdy companion, who has been used to being a domestic dog from puppyhood, and if you have time to give him a nice and active life again, you should definitely get to know Mees quickly… Original text : Wow, we almost fell over backwards when we saw these beautiful dogs! So handsome, sweet, affectionate and of course super cute!!! How can anyone ignore his heart and leave these babies behind? Incomprehensible! A couple brought this brother (Cafelito) and sister (Nocilla) to the shelter, they found them during a walk. Cafelito and Nocilla still have to grow a little before they can leave for their new home, but we have a feeling that they won’t have to wait too long for this…because trust us, one glance in their endearing eyes and you are lost…
Cafelito has been virtually adopted by Jacky Claessen. .
Cafelito has already found a new home in Netherlands!
